Hyrule Warriors slips further down charts in Japan, but new content's on the horizon

Hyrule Warriors has a respectable debut in Japan coming in second to the ever popular Yokai Watch 2. This last week though, it fell to sixth place with its previous spot replaced with The Last of Us Remastered. There may be hope yet though, as the game is set to receive new content soon.

For the week ending August 17, the Koei Tecmo title sold 69,090 units and was the only new Wii U title released for the period. The game sold through 57.33% of its shipment during its three days of release.

The week ending August 24, the title moved 15,142 bringing lifetime sales to 84,232.

However, come September 1, update 1.2 will be released and it includes some big fixes and a challenge mode.

While the update is small a larger update with more content is in the works, so hopefully it will spur some sales.

If not, there's always the western release for the developers to look forward to.
