Hey, guys - Don't Starve on Vita next month

"Don't Starve" is always good advice, but it's especially important for Klei Entertainment's terrific sandbox, which now has a Vita release date.

Don't Starve: Giant Edition hits Vita on September 2, for $15.

The Vita port has been a long time coming, and in the post on the PlayStation Blog Klei co-foudner Jamie Cheng said the team "had to rewrite a bunch of backend code to optimize it".

Unfortunately, that means there's no cross-save with PS4 - but Klei does support cross-buy, so if you own the PS4 version there's no need to spend more.

The Vita version includes the game's first expansion, Reign of Giants, which normally costs an extra $5 and includes new characters, biomes, seasons and more.

Don't Starve is also available on Linux, Mac and PC. I really like it.
