Twitch Plays Pokemon has completed every generation

Which is more than I can say, to be honest.

This weekend, Twitch Plays Pokemon finished Pokemon X, meaning it has played through one release from every Pokemon generation to date.

Pokemon X was played on an actual 3DS, because there's no suitable 3DS emulator as yet. VentureBeat reports the feat was accomplished with a clever jury-rigged system entering commands on the console.

Twitch Plays Pokemon has been active for about six months, and shows no signs of stopping now. Having beaten nine core Pokemon games, Twitch Plays Pokemon is now tackling Pokemon Stadium 2 for N64, and will then move onto a Pokemon Red run with the goal of collecting all 151 Pokemon.

The channel host has not yet determined which game will be featured after that, but there are several options on the table.
