The minimum time between two Sonic Booms is one week

Sonic Boom's two 2014 video games have been slapped with a release date.

Sonic Boom is Sega's new attempt to revive the famous hedgehog's fortunes, producing a new animated series and a couple of games.

3DS effort Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal arrives on November 11 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric heads to the Wii U on November 18. These dates come via Sega's America arm, so hang tight for a European update.

If you don't like the new look of Sonic and pals, don't worry - Sonic Team found the redesign process traumatic, too, and is working on a game unrelated to the reboot. Sonic Boom, developed by Sanzaru and Big Red Button, isn't even releasing in Japan.

Well, anyway; regardless of your feelings about scarves and sports wrap, the games themselves deserve to be judged on their gameplay merits. Take a look at the latest Sonic Boom trailers.
