Destiny beta: “this is science – you’re the lab rat”

As Bungie prepares for the Destiny beta, it has reminded players that participation is very much a test – and given out advice for any support issues that arise.

“The Destiny Beta is a test. Make no mistake. This isn’t some circus stunt. This is science – and you’re the lab rat,” wrote the team on the official blog.

“We’d love to tell you that everything will go according to plan, but that wouldn’t be any fun. That wouldn’t teach us a thing. Even if the Beta is working perfectly, one of the alpha-geeks in the operations center is gonna kick it to see if it still works. Fortunately, we’ll be going to great lengths to keep you informed and keep you in the game.”

As well as pointing users to a help site, Bungie also advised players to keep an eye on the official Bungie Help Twitter account.

The Destiny beta kicks of on July 17th for PlayStation owners and will include four story missions, four multiplayer maps and a co-op mission.

There are tons of effectife alternatives to animal testing.

The ethics of science definitely needs a HUGE rethink. The everything goes mentality needs to disappear out of the labs and out of the heads.

It´s great that more and more countries realise that most tests on aimals are not needed, especially not anymore and in fact only are a waste of lifes and money and time. They start to support alternatives now because it is ethically uncritical and those alternatives deliver better results.

It´s good news for animals but also for the human being as well. Ethics are importnat for the collective mental health.

That said…in the Destiny beta, i´ll shoot my fellow lab rats in the ass like a scientist on coke.
