Journey to the Heart of Atlantis with Deadfall Adventures on PS3

The Farm 51 has announced Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis for PlayStation 3, allowing you to live out your own version of Indiana Jones without the brittle bones of Harrison Ford.

Basically,  this a revamped version of the action-adventure game with a first-person shooter elements.

If you are unfamiliar with it, players slip on the boots of James Lee Quatermain, premier treasure hunter, as he runs off to "remote and inaccessible regions of the world" to find lost riches. He may even "rescue a damsel or two in distress from the clutches of enemies both earthly and not-so-earthly." Yeah. It's those non-earthly ones you really have to watch. They are pretty grabby.

Players will once again traverse locations such as the deserts of Egypt all the way to the icy depths of the Arctic. You will even trudge through the steamy Guatemalan jungle - all in your quest to fine The Heart of Atlantis.

"Deadfall Adventures was one our most ambitious project to date and although it was well-received by players, we wanted to ensure that the PS3™ version took the franchise to a higher level,” said Artur Falkowski, producer at The Farm 51.

“We’re all fans of the adventure genre and we wanted Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis to be the kind of a game that we would play as fans, so in many ways it is a completely new game, not just new version. With exclusive content and new modes, we are pleased to introduce a great adventure game to PS3 owners."

The Farm 51 promises a "dynamic and scintillating storyline full of puzzles and variety of missions," with the following new and exclusive content added which freshens the original version up a bit:

  • Fully upgraded gameplay and graphics
  • New location and secrets to explore
  • Exclusive Survival/Co-op DLC mode with two additional maps for PS3 owners
  • New boss fights
  • New cut-scenes and improved visuals of original ones
  • Improved leveling system
  • Completely new notepad system
  • New flashlight burst attack
  • And much more

Deadfall Adventures: Heart of Atlantis will release digitally on PlayStation 3 this summer.
