WoW's "default" character is also getting a Warlords of Draenor makeover

We've already seen a few interesting graphical upgrades for World of Warcraft's upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor, but today's reveal is one of the most anticipated.

Human males are often over-represented in MMOs, despite there being so many options to choose from. I've often wondered whether the unpopular lumpy face of the World of Warcraft male human was actually designed to help encourage creativity amongst players who might otherwise play it safe with the default choice.

In a new ArtCraft post on Battle.net, Blizzard acknowledged the character model's "odd proportions and face geometry", which have been given a makeover for Warlords of Draenor.

"We’ve taken great care to ensure we’re not changing so much that he looks completely unlike anything you’d expect, while also correcting some of the more glaring problems," art director Chris Robinson wrote.

Take a look at our friend's new look below. Warlords of Draenor is WoW's fifth expansion and expected in northern autumn.
