Amazon’s listing pegs the bundle for a July 30 launch, including a 500GB console and a copy of The Last of Us: Remastered, all for £429.99.

    @Erthazus sad thing is that paying 50$ for a 1080p upgrade and it will sell like crazy….Naughty Dog profit like crazy for doing nothing just apply 1080p LOL

    @Dragon with broken AI, mediocre gameplay and poor linear level design. GOTY my ass.

    @CyberMarco, LOL

    @undermyrules, Not really. The Last Of Us was not a huge seller.

    you can see here that The Last Of Us is only at 15th place for games sales. It is below Pokemon or any other AAA title.

    @Dragon This is not praising. Square Enix just milk them because they have nothing to release.

    Opinions.

    “Not really. The Last Of Us was not a huge seller.’
    Posting ESA (aka US only) numbers only hinders your point. TLoU is a best seller by any measure, let alone when seen as a new IP.

    Still not seeing any reason for anyone to double dip at that high price. Other than being turned on by 1080p 60fps and Left Behind bundled. For first time buyers that price is… still too high.

    Fuck it, in my opinion this is the best game Sony can offer right now. It’s flagship game bundled with it’s flagship console… killer package if you ask me.

    @Dragon That’s not opinions. They are simply facts.
    AI is broken. Naughty Dog even post poned the release of the game for bug fixes but they could not fix the AI that could require more work. No matter how talented are you, you can’t make such project that is full of ambition for 1 and half year or 2 years. You can make only CoD with 2 year of development and not something that has stealth, survival gameplay and of course high production values on graphics.

    Gameplay is very mediocre. Stealth mechanics are poor and unbalanced. False sense of progression. Shooting mechanics are decent though, graphics are good (for the PS3) and fantastic story with great characters.

    this is not GOTY. It is a fun game with ton’s of flaws with Naughty Dog name on top of it.

    “Posting ESA (aka US only) numbers only hinders your point. TLoU is a best seller by any measure, let alone when seen as a new IP.”

    Us is the most important region for this game. TLOU is very US centric game with shooting and zombies. Maybe European market too.
    You know what is good for the new IP? Watch Dogs – OK game but sold in one week more then the “The Last Of Us” for it’s generation that has higher meta score, over all had more praise from journalists since it’s VGA debut.

    Never played this or GTA5, cuz it was pretty obvious they’d be rejigged for the PS4…

    Go me.

    I am looking forward to playing this again. Though not sure from comparison videos if this warrants full price. £30 would have been more appropriate imo. Gta on the other hand looks ten times better on ps4 so the price is a bit more justifiable, just hope there are upgrade options for digital owners

    You do realize that all the titles above it are multi platform so of course they would sell better, also as far as im aware it has sold over 6 milion copies worldwide on one console, compare that to Battlefield 4 (4th on the list) that has sold around 9-10 million copies over 5 platforms, says a lot imo. Also just about every one of those above it are established franchises that also help sales.

    “This is not praising. Square Enix just milk them because they have nothing to release.”
    My point got through to him.

    “They are simply facts.”
    No. I will just leave this-
    “A fact (derived from the Latin factum, see below) is something that has really occurred or is actually the case. The usual test for a statement of fact is verifiability, that is whether it can be demonstrated to correspond to experience. Standard reference works are often used to check facts. Scientific facts are verified by repeatable experiments.”
    “In general, an opinion is a judgment, viewpoint, or statement about matters commonly considered to be subjective, i.e. based on that which is less than absolutely certain, and is the result of emotion or interpretation of facts. What distinguishes fact from opinion is that facts are verifiable, i.e. can be objectively proven to have occurred. An example is: “America was involved in the Vietnam War” versus “America was right to get involved in the Vietnam War”. An opinion may be supported by facts, in which case it becomes an argument, although people may draw opposing opinions from the same set of facts. Opinions rarely change without new arguments being presented. It can be reasoned that one opinion is better supported by the facts than another by analyzing the supporting arguments.[1] In casual use, the term opinion may be the result of a person’s perspective, understanding, particular feelings, beliefs, and desires. It may refer to unsubstantiated information, in contrast to knowledge and fact.”

    I made my point clear on sales. TLoU is a one of the best seller exclusive new IP, and that is not an opinion, a fact.

    @sacka If it would sell 6 millions than it would be much higher than Pokemon so I doubt that.

    yeah. I know that there are multiplat titles but look, Watch Dogs will sell more on one PS4 alone that has not a lot of base right now than The Last Of Us On the PS3 that had huge fanbase when the game was released.

    Wow. I’m still waiting for 5 games to play on ps4 that I can’t on xb1 and PC. So far only uncharted looks appealing. Sony lost me

    @Erthazus “If it would sell 6 millions than it would be much higher than Pokemon so I doubt that.”
    Firstly i think you’re underestimating how popular Pokemon is, secondly it had sold over 4.5 milion copies before the end of last year, threr is room for that number to grow and im sure a number of site have stated it has sold over 6 million copies.

    as a videogame the last of us is mediocre. as an entertainment interactive moviegamethingy it´s solid if you are between 16 and 26. the mp is fun though. ps4 is just a ps3.5 atm but it will be getting there – for now it´s nothing special really.
    if you want the best gaming experience atm go for pc and wiiu….next gen console gaming is just a marketing hoax at this point. maybe we will see it happening next year and 2016 with some titles when the optimization starts to pay off.

    Why is it £429?

    PS4 = £349, so the game is £80?

    What am I missing? That is a serious question.

    As much as I agree this HD remake will be bought by alot of stupid console owners who have already got the game and who just like to throw money at there respective gods, 15th place is still a big seller, out of all the games which came out in 2013, 15th place is considerably high.

    PC gods? They went mulitplatform and went bankrupt.

    They are hardly praised in the PC community.

    Far Cry 1 = Awesome
    Crysis = Fairly good
    The rest = Shit.

    At what point is linear a peg against a game. Half Life 2, Bioshock, Super Mario Bros, Contra, Resident Evil 4 Diablo are iconic legendary games which many feel have no equal. Just because a few games don’t follow the linear mold doesn’t mean every single game needs to be open where you can do everything you want. The only difference between HL 2 and TLoU story telling is HL stops and have slow points with dialoge between characters to advance the narrative vs putting them in the midst of gameplay. If Valve would have did what ND did first it would have been a revolutionary way to do story telling in games, nobody would have even said the worlds interactive movie.

    The last of us is one of the best games ever made, if it was on pc erthazus would be sucking it’s dick. The arrogance of the master race destroys any chance of a game receiving unanimous praise from this community. At least Xbox fans know a good game when they see one

    This game is best viewed on YouTube than played. Can’t believe it won so many game of the years based on a good story, but mediocre gameplay that Splinter Cell 1 did much better.

    If you buy the game again with such a minor graphics update – you might need you head examined.
