Here’s a minute of Bloodborne PS4 gameplay, and it looks like a Souls game

Thursday, 12th June 2014 09:55 GMT By Dave Cook

Bloodborne is the next game from the Demon’s Souls team at From Software, and someone has been naughty and recorded a full minute of PS4 gameplay from a behind-closed-doors session at E3 2014. Shocking behaviour.

Thanks NeoGAF.

It really does look like a Souls game. Matt’s seen the same presentation shown above, and he told me last night that it is effectively a new game in the series but with slicker combat a new world and the whole being on PS4 thing. That means graphics.

Have a gander and be sure to check out the Bloodborne E3 2014 PS4 trailer if you missed it.

@The_Red They weren’t supposed to be filming that presentation. I’m guessing they had to hide their phone before they got chucked out, or killed. This is From Software we’re talking about.

Frankly, I am outraged by this game’s lack of a Jewish protagonist.

Ah so that’s why the vid was abruptly cut. At least they lost their lives for a noble cause.

Oh yeah and as everyone said. It is running right now in 10-15 frames per second with this build.

Yeah, they can’t optimize this game even for the PS4. Of course at release it will be in 30 frames but even here I saw issues with just one enemy. Not sure if it will come out in 2015 in Q1 or Q2…

But is he female? Can I get at least female hands? They can totally still use the same animations and voiceacting. I see no problem here.

I think they made a huge mistake when they decided to make a 3rd IP from the souls gameplay.

what did you expect from an alpha build of a game which is more than a year away?
    (it’s actually rumored for a 2015 Q4 release)
there’s lot of work to be done but surely they will lock it at 30fps.slower paced games with an emphasis on slower animations ( aesthetics and difficulty) like Dark/Demons don’t need more than that,it will be a tad faster paced than those though

@19 Admittedly BJ is not female, no.

Actually, W:TNO is pretty good at being inclusive. Jews, Scots, Germans (duh), Nazis (lots of those), disabled people, ethnic minorities.

Actually the disabled character gets one of the best lines in the entire game (or any game) and UTTERLY kicks ass by the game’s conclusion.

There’s even a multi-part audio diary that consists of a diary of a woman killing (assumed) men. Often using her gender to her advantage.

Wolfenstein: TNO is simply a great, great game.

You have no idea how much I’d love to get this game, but the size of it is just way too big. I’m not buying a game that wastes 40 GB of hard drive space. It’s the same reason I do not own Ghosts or Titanfall.

@zoopdeloop every game need’s to be more than 30 fps.
30 fps is mediocre. period and Dark Souls 2 PC version proves it.

Bloodborne does not really look like something next gen. They should improve fps.

@Joe Musashi That Scottish guy was brilliant. Actual slang, and not a fucking Shrek voice, which is how most Scottish game characters sound.

The term ‘Wee roaster’ made me laugh for real. Superb.

    who says so?
word has it(those who watched the closed door demo) that it does look next-gen,it’s like nothing you see here(a recording)but since it’s alpha build it has performance issues.
i would take a higher graphic advantage, shadows, lightning effects etc locked at 30fps from this kind of game rather than anything less for 60fps
