Destiny gets time-lapse alpha footage, avatar creation & gameplay screens

Destiny has received a time-laps video of its Earth environment, along with a batch of screens that show everything from character creation, gameplay, guns and more.

It follows this four-minute Destiny story trailer and the reveal of Sony's white PS4 bundle, which will come with Destiny and 30 days of PS Plus.

In the clip above, DigitalFoundry shows the world of Destiny's alpha ticking by, revealing its skybox cycle, shadows, lighting and other technical tricks.

The team said that there's no way to disable Destiny's HUD, so the footage had to be taken by making their avatar it down in third person, and sifting the camera to keep them out of view. They've done good work if that's the case.
