Comcast Xfinity commercial attempts to reach out to gamers, fails miserably

Comcast has been doing its darndest to try and reach out to gamers. Earlier this month, Comcast and EA were reportedly working on a deal to stream EA’s games. Comcast’s commercials as of late for Xfinity have been trying to target the gaming crowd, unfortunately it has incited gamer ire more than anything else.

The commercial in question, below, features gamers complaining about their Internet speeds in a Xfinity mall booth. A Comcast representative, in an attempt to sell Xfinity speeds, talks about how great the service is. He provides Trials Fusion for gamers to test out and try, guaranteeing there to be no lag.

There’s only problem: Trials Fusion has no online multiplayer component. It only features couch co-op. Awkward.

It gets better. If you click through to watch it on Youtube. They’ve disabled comments, so no one can correct their gross disinformation. I’ve had comcast before. It was worse than the RCN (which is a no name piece of crap semi local service in the Philadelphia area) we switched from upon moving. RCN was bad enough that we eventually bit the bullet and shelled out more for Verizon FIOS, which is pretty much the best you can get in the area.
Comcast was so petty, that we told them we were switching to RCN, on a specific date- They cut the service a few min after we were off the phone. I called up RCN and they let me reschedule for a connection that day.
I pity the people who only have one broadband provider in an area.
