Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will include some future -read impossible- weapons, one of which is a gun that prints its own ammunition.

The upcoming entry in the Call of Duty series by Sledgehammer Games will benefit from being set in the near-future. Some of these benefits include some interesting gun prototypes, one of which is a 3D-printer gun.

The 3D-Printer Rifle, as its referred to in game, still needs liquid matter to function, once you load it in, the internal 3D-printer begins to print ammo. This method of ammo reproduction is supposed to significantly reduce reload times.

There are some screenshots of this rifle along with the Plasma-powered Rifle and other Advanced Warfare gadgets on GameInformer as part of their month-long coverage of the upcoming shooter.

Do you think this rifle will make it into multiplayer, or will it be too overpowered?

Though it reproduces its ammo, probably its firepower will be lower. And again probably it will be used in stealth missions.

The tech guy in me sees on big problem with this gun, aside from the price which most be ridiculous, and that is it needs to either print gunpowder or use some form of electromagnetic acceleration which you can’t obviously power with AA batteries.
On the other side it looks cool as cucumbers so who cares.
