The day has come: Sony has released the PlayStation Vita Slim in North America.

The system launches in black as part of the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition PS Vita Bundle, which includes game and six DLC packs and an 8GB PS Vita memory card for $199.99.

The system is 20% slimmer, and approximately 15% lighter than the original version, with new rounded edges. It also comes with 1GB of built-in memory, an extended battery life for four to six hours of game play, and a high-definition LCD display.

All sorts of games are coming this summer to Vita, which you can play on new slim model: Soul Sacrifice Delta on May 13; Sly Cooper Collection on May 27; Helldivers in summer; and later this year Minecraft, Metrico, Tales of Hearts R, Freedom Wars, and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.

You can also grab the God of War Collection for it from today.

Bought the older Vita two weeks ago and having a blast. I’ve seen both versions in play and you cannot beat that OLED display of the original. At least 8 games I can’t wait to start. Sure as he’ll aren’t any “crickets” Dragon. Diving into Persona 4 Golden first and loving it. Vita is a RPG fans wet dream.
