Gematsu reports the PlayStation 3 version of the fighter sequel will release in Japan on August 28.

We're expecting it in the west on Xbox 360 as well, probably sometime in northern autumn.

A few more details have surfaced this week; narrator Rise Kujikawa is going to playable, and will also appear in shadow form.

The console build has a new Golden Arena Mode with RPG elements, over 150 skills, customisation and Social Links. It will be added to the arcade version at the end of April.
