Titanfall matchmaking changes "turned down" during bug fixing, improvements

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has reduced the effects of recent changes to its matchmaking system.

"We turned down the effect of the new matchmaking to help players find games while we work on fixing bugs and making improvements," the developer said on Twitter.

Presumably, this comment refers to respawn's efforts to preference better skill balance over speed in Titanfall's matchmaking.

The new matchmaking system began testing at the end of March and was fully implemented last week. Respawn's comment suggests it hasn't been as well-received as hoped for, with players complaining that they've been unable to find matches.

Titanfall is out now on PC and Xbox One, and arrives on Xbox 360 on April 8 in North America and April 11 in Europe.
