Frozen Synapse headed to iPhone, probably sometime this year

Frozen Synpase developer Mode 7 Games expects to bring the multiplayer strategy game to iPhones before the end of the year.

"Frozen Synapse will be coming to the iPhone," Mode 7's Paul Taylor said on Twitter.

"Not sure of any kind of release date yet but we've just had a meeting about the UI and I think it'll definitely be by the end of the year," he added.

Frozen Synapse is already available on Android tablets and iPad in addition to Linux, Mac and PC. It allows players to make moves in matches and then wander off to do something else while their partner takes a turn - something like chess by mail, except you get notifications on your mobile devices.

The indie studio is currently working on Frozen Endgame, a multiplayer sports title available through Steam Early Access.
