Xbox Live subscribers affected by March 11 outage gifted with free week of Xbox Live Gold

Xbox Live subscribers who were unable to log into the service during an outage on March 11, are being handed a free week of Xbox Live Gold. This is according to various users reporting into IGN. The outage coincided with the release of Titanfall on Xbox One, but it wasn't the influx of users logging into play the shooter which cased the "core service" issues. Check your Xbox Live Messaging System to see if you are included in the free week of XBL.
