Microsoft has announced Xbox One’s OneGuide feature releases today in to select users in Canada and the UK.

The program guide allows users to browse TV content, providing the user’s cable box is plugged into the console.

Kinect voice commands are enabled with the service to allow users to control their set-tops with the peripheral, and SmartGlass can be used as well. Both tech options can be used to schedule recordings or to watch content from through the DVR device.

Once feedback is gathered from the users the features are available to, expect OneGuide to roll out later this year to other regions.

i still don’t get the whole TV thing on the X1.

isnt it wasting power like hell to turn on your tv-receiver AND the console?

whats the upside of having it through your console?
my tv-receiver already has a system like the OneGuide so i dont see anything there
