Bravely Default could come to other devices, says Terada

Bravely Default developer Silicon Studios could bring its spiritual successor to the Final Fantasy series to other devices down the line. Studio president Takehiko Terada has discussed the team's future in a new interview.

Speaking with CVG, Terada said, "We may expand in the future, but we don't have a clear plan yet. We're talking about that, maybe using other devices, but we don't have a clear plan."

Silicon Studios has received positive notoriety for its Bravely Default titles, which many claim are better Final Fantasy titles than recent Final Fantasy games themselves. That's entirely subjective of course.

On what comes next, Terada added, "Hopefully we have another game coming from our relationship [with Square Enix]. In the future we want to have a really realistic game, not like Bravely Default which is really cartoonish, but a more realistic game."
