PES 2014 to hold Virtual UEFA Champions League competition, starting March 26

PES 2014 developer Konami has paired with UEFA to hold an online Champions League competition in Europe. Registration for the tourney opens today, and the first online ranked matched will kick off March 26.

In a press release sent to VG247 today, Konami confirmed that the European competition is free to join and starting March 26, PES 2014 will collate data from thousands of matches to come up with an average of your performance and results.

The season will run for some time, and will offer players to compete in a series of events with a €25,000 cash prize pot. Sony, UEFA and their partners will also offer other prizes including official, signed UEFA merchandise, and a chance to go on a VIP Champions League Final experience in Lisbon.

There's also a UEFA Youth League PES Event, which will see eight of Europe's top PES players flown to Nyon, Switzerland to see the inaugural UEFA Youth League season final, and to compete in a game tourney at UEFA's headquarters. This particular game competition starts on March 28 and lasts a week.
