Don’t forget: Wii U Sports Club is free this weekend in multiple regions

Friday, 21st March 2014 12:53 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Consider this a friendly reminder to fire up your Wii U this weekend and download the free trial of Wii U Sports Club. From today through March 23, Wii U owners in Australia, Europe and North America will have access to Bowling, Golf and Tennis. Players who wish to keep playing after March 23 can purchase a Day Pass for $1.99 in the Nintendo eShop. Alternatively, they can buy a Club Pass which provides permanent access to individual sports for $9.99 each.

This thing should have come bundled with every single Wii U, instead of a poor subscription service that no one cares about (free or not).

If I want to play Wii Sports, I just pop in my old Wii Sports disc. It’s not that HD makes that much of a difference for this game. And yes I know that Wii U Sports has Wii motion plus controls and online, but I’m not willing to pay that much for a game I already own. A free weekend is just a tease…
