Fight Club re-imagined as an 8-bit scrolling beat-em-up is wonderful

Fight Club has been given the 8-Bit Cinema treatment by CineFix, and the results are a cross between the film itself and Streets of Rage, with some bizarre minigames thrown in for good measure.

They call it 8-bit but it verges on 16-bit at times, but whatever, it’s neat.

The sprite of the first dude in the white shirt and red tie is a complete copy of the movement that Adam does in Streets of Rage 1. 3rd character, looks like a woman with a seriously bad hair do, also looks like that animation has been nicked from Shiva.

So they’ve nicked the animations from Sega, who shut down fan made Streets of Rage 4.

    Good luck! ^_^

    Haaa. That is amusing.

I think SEGA’s issue at the time was the wholesale stealing of assets. I don’t think ‘this person kind of stands the same way’ is going to fly in court. Again, precedents. There are so many fan games and webcomics which are using stuff based off of sprites from games but not exactly that they’d be foolish to try. There’s too much of a precedent against it.
