Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville releases next week on Steam

Saturday, 8th March 2014 17:54 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Radian Games will release Powerpuff Girls: Defenders of Townsville on Linux, Mac and PC on March 14 through Steam. The action-adventure game takes exploration inspiration from various titles such as Metroid and Castlevania, and contains both melee and ranged combat options. Those wanting a challenge, or not, can choose from three difficulty levels and choose between any of the three Powerpuff Girls who are voiced by the cartoon actresses. Check out a video for it below. Thanks, Shacknews.

This is absolutely bizarre. They have their own art style which isn’t at all reminiscent of the show, and it’s kind of a bullet hell shooter? There just seem to be a number of very weird choices there. Bubbles talking about punching whilst firing lasers was rather… abstract.

Basically, that’s exactly what it is, yeah.

(Though I can’t see anyone getting their knickers in a twist over this being a platform exclusive. >_>)

@ X14EVR: Jeez man, learn to spell before commenting on any more web sites. Most browsers have spell check, there’s absolutely no excuse for the abysmal 2 ‘efforts’ you’ve made at spelling MATURE. Between that and your narrow minded comment you’ve just demonstrated your your level of intelligence to everyone here. Bravo, go you.

@ X14EVR: Man I don’t’ know what’s more appalling, the fact that someone from Harvard can’t spell or the fact that someone in the U.S Army would type in such a brain-dead comment such at #1 on this thread! Are you sure you’re not just pretending to be American? I know some pretty cool people from the U.S and all of them can spell simple words like Mature and Manure. You’re giving Americans a bad name here, shame on you!

He’s actually just parodying trolls we’ve had here before. And he’s doing it such an over the top way that it’s wrapping around to sometimes funny. I called him on it before and he admitted to it, he’s just being a wind-up artist as a bit of a jape to amuse himself.

X14 — avoid words like ‘faggot,’ it’s easy for someone to mistake you for an actually stupid person, that way. You’re better off without them. If you want people to actually pause, think for a minute, and then go ‘god damn it,’ you need to put in just enough intelligence for them to think that someone is pulling their leg. :P
