Titanfall: branded Xbox One consoles given to Respawn staff, photos inside

Titanfall branded Xbox One consoles seemed to have been canned, following the reveal of Microsoft’s official bundle, which included the standard black model, but it now appears that the console design is real and is being given to Respawn Entertainment staff.

It follows the cancellation of Titanfall pre-orders in South Africa due to unsatisfactory local server tests.

Respawn employees started tweeting out images of the hardware last night, dubbed ‘Titanfall Dev Team Xbox One.’

These don’t appear to be coming to retail at the moment, but never say never, right?

I guess they have to do something with the consoles that aren’t selling.

EA should never have stopped South Africa from selling Titanfall. A simple sticker stating “Online only and no local servers” would have been enough to warn people and allowed those that wanted it, like me on PC to play it. I’m very upset about this. Having played the Beta every night only now a few days from launch, to be told that I can’t get it and have my pre order cancelled.

    Sorry, #2.

When you were playing the beta, did you have any latency issues that made the game frustrating or unplayable?

Xbox 360 curved this way and curved that way. It gave a sense of fluidity to graphic design.

Xbox One, however, is full of sharp edges. A painting on this canvas is likely to appear abstract. It’s obvious that Microsoft wants Rembrandt, but in lieu of a more feminine form factor they are hopelessly bound to Picasso.

Wonder if Sony will do the same to compensate the no games on the console.
