PS4 camera price hiked by $10 at GameStop

US retail chain GameStop has increased the price tag on the PS4's PlayStation Camera accessory by $10, to $70.

Polygon reports the peripheral is in short supply, with many major retailers sold out completely, and on-sellers charging close to $100 for the device.

Neither SCEA nor GameStop have commented on the price hike, so it's not clear if the price change was mandated by Sony, or is GameStop's response to stock shortages; the retailer has been known to hike prices on difficult to find items.

Although the PlayStation Camera hasn't been used in many games so far, it has a couple of system functions including video log in and Twitch streaming.
