South Park censor screen leaks ahead of game’s launch

South Park: The Stick of Truth has been censored in EMEA territories, and Europe’s censorship screen has leaked ahead of release.

The image came from Reddit user DutchAmerican93, who received their copy early.

I’ve finished the game now, and have seen all of the censored screens. We’re under embargo however so we can’t post them here or talk about them. Stay tuned for our final impressions tomorrow.

Last week; we learned that PEGI had no influence over Ubisoft’s censorship decision. The publisher’s marketing department made the call on its own.

It’s not as bad as people make it out to be. I am in the PAL region and I’ve opted to purchase locally rather than look at importing (not even sure if the game will be region free) because I’d rather see crying koalas than the posted screen multiple times.

In fact, during the weekend and the hours of streams I watched, you see the screen more times in a single level than you do throughout the entire game. Other than that one level, one which has many anal probes, the game plays as it should.

I will laugh at those who import the Xbox 360 version, only to realise that it is censored. You can find a video on YouTube if you are that desperate to see what was removed by Ubisoft, not the rating boards across PAL regions.

If you’re a fan of anal probing just get the PC version. It was only censored in respect of the Nazi symbols where they are unlawful (eg. Germany).

    Best censor scene ever?

With the things going on right now (watch news), that may well be what the EU meeting looks like ;)

import it, play it as it was meant to be played, laugh at the scenes that were meant to be laughed at, and say screw you world, i am a south park fan!
so when i actually get it, no deleted scenes or nothing for me,.,
