Sonic the Hedgehog’s origins lampooned in comedy sketch

Sonic the Hedgehog’s getting a sort-of reboot in Sonic Boom and comedy troupe BEASTS has put together a sketch that proposes an alternate spin on the boardroom meeting that led to his creation. It’s totally not safe for work.

BEASTS is comprised of comedians Ciaran Dowd, James McNicholas and Owen Roberts. They’ve been going for over two years and have appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

What do you make of the sketch?

That was actually pretty funny, thanks! It’s a bit of a shame though that they didn’t drop in Ted Roosevelt for Robotnik, since Robotnik was apparently inspired by Roosevelt in his pyjamas. They could have had fun with that!

Still, pretty funny. Thanks for sharing!
