Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes visual comparison to MGS 4 is “nonsense” says Kojima

Tuesday, 18th February 2014 09:07 GMT By Dave Cook

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes received a visual comparison yesterday, giving us a look at how the varying formats stack up. Kojima has since responded to claims that the game isn’t too far a leap from his PS3 release Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

Now; Kojima has responded to claims that the game isn’t that impressive to look at over on Twitter. He also feels that given the choice, he’d like to see gamers opt for the next-gen versions on PS4 and Xbox One.

Kojima then called out visual comparisons to Metal Gear Solid 4, stressing that while he feels the fifth game looks better, it is still an open-world game.

What do you make of the above? Is it bonkers to say that Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid 4 look similar, or is that view on the money? Let us know below.

Hate to comment on this here but had no response from emails & nowhere else to give feedback. The placement of the comments section is awful, why put it at the bottom of the page buried under adverts, links to other articles & websites? It just doesn’t make sense & goes against encouraging people to comment (you can see this with the general lack of comments on posts compared to the previous site layout). Is there any way we can have a legacy website function? Where we can choose whether to have the new version of the site, or the preferred older version. I’m just not getting on with the site at all since the change, I gave it a chance but it’s just not doing it for me. There’s just an overbearing amount of text/information onscreen & the prevelance of RED everywhere is too much. Sorry guys…

In the end it isnt made to exclusively run on next gen platforms so it obviously isnt going to look massively different. That said the XB1 version runs at the same resolution as the last gen one, and thats pretty damning.

I agree with you completely, previous layout was 1000x better than this… really discourages one to comment and the site is now messy somehow way too messy… bring back the old layout that will bring all of your old visitors as well :)
