At present, Evo 2014 will front the following titles:

  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Ultra Street Fighter 4
  • Injustice: Gods Among Us
  • The King of Fighters 13
  • Killer Instinct
  • BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma

Fan favourite franchise Smash bros. is notably absent from the list, with Nintendo telling Shoryuken, the home of Evo, that it hasn’t ruled it out.

“While we are engaged in preliminary discussions with Evo about their upcoming event in July, the potential role of any Nintendo software at this event is undetermined at this time,” a Nintendo representative said in a statement.

This year, tournament fixtures will be determined by the results of events over the proceeding 12 months, rather than decided at a series of specific events. The details have not yet been finalised.
