Banner Saga composer doesn't want to have fans

"I don't like the idea of the word 'fan'. If people are fans of a piece of music that is great," Wintory said, as recorded by Polygon. But he said he's against the idea of buying an album "just because it has a name on it, which is meaningless."

In addition to that comment, Wintory also discussed how he had encouraged "fans" to post the Journey soundtrack on YouTube, and then he composed a score on a keyboard for a theoretical game about "surviving Las Vegas" that an audience member had suggested.
