The news was announced by Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb in an Xbox Wire video, which you can watch below. It also features gameplay footage and commentary from the development team.

It's not clear whether the Xbox One port will release simultaneously with current-gen versions.

A Square Enix representative reportedly told Geimaku a PlayStation 4 version is also on the way. When contacted by VG247, Square Enix would not comment on either platform, but said it would have more news to share shortly.

The Murdered: Soul Suspect box art was revealed earlier today. The Airtight Games adventure is expected on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in the second quarter.

A supernatural murder mystery, Murdered: Soul Suspect hails from the same team as Quantum Conundrum; Airtight is led by Kim Swift, best known for Portal.
