Razer signs on to produce Xbox One accessories

Razer has announced it will produce a line of Xbox One accessories as part of its ongoing partnership with Microsoft.

A controller and arcade stick have been confirmed so far, but Razer said in a press release that it's planning "a suite of products".

Details of products, pricing and release dates will be announced "in the coming weeks", the company said.

"Razer is dedicated to improving the overall experience from the games themselves to the player, be it console or PC," radical CEO Min-Liang Tan said.

"By working with a company as prestigious as Microsoft on a system as sought-after as the Xbox One, we’ll be able to accomplish just that. This is an exciting time for the hundreds of millions of gamers all over the world, and we’re thrilled to be a part of it.”

Razer's additions will help fill the next-gen peripherals vacuum; currently, gamers have very limited choices when it comes to non-official controllers, headsets and other accessories for either PS4 or Xbox One, a situation which is bound to improve as the generation kicks off.
