Assassin’s Creed games given away free with Elder Scrolls Online orders

Thursday, 30th January 2014 12:40 GMT By Dave Cook

The Elder Scrolls Online orders made through Ubisoft’s uPlay service will come bundled with Assassin’s Creed 3 or Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

It follows confirmation that the current Assassin’s Creed story arc has an ending already in place, but it may not be the end of the franchise as we know it.

If you pre-order and buy the standard edition of Elder Scrolls Online through uPlay, you’ll get Assassin’s Creed 3 on the house.

What’s more, if you buy the £69.99 Imperial Edition you’ll get a download code for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.

All orders come with The Elder Scrolls Online’s Explorer and Imperial DLC packs, as well as an early access pass.

What do you make of the deals?

The Elder Scrolls Online launches on PC and Mac, April 4th.

I have suspicions about this. It probably means that ESO is going to be lousy with microtransactions.

See, I can understand why Ubisoft would want to do this if that were the case — they could take a small cut from each purchase, not unlike the Steam wallet. So that, for them, would be a financial bonus. It would make it worthwhile to give away (for free) their latest blockbuster game.

I wouldn’t be suspicious if it was just AC III, but Black flag, too? A game that’s likely still selling well? Hrmmmn.

I found the correct link, it was an email that Ubisoft sent out, going directly to their page doesnt show it. I went ahead and bought it, I have really enjoyed the betas. Got a free copy of Black flag so not a bad deal.
