Microsoft's SkyDrive will soon become OneDrive

Microsoft has announced SkyDrive will have its name changed to OneDrive in order to reflect the fact that it's "one place" for all your digital goodies.

The cloud-based service is connected across "all the devices you use" and Microsoft said the name change "conveys the value we can deliver for you and best represents our vision for the future."

For current users of either SkyDrive or SkyDrive Pro, the service will continue to operate with all content available on OneDrive as the new name is rolled out across the portfolio.

More will be shared at a later date. Meanwhile there is a new video below.
