Capcom always teases western fans with long waits between the Japanese and western releases of their games, but they always get here eventually.

Western Monster Hunter fans, your wait isn’t quite over, but at least there’s a time frame to it now. Capcom just announced Monster Hunter 4G for 3DS in Japan, and added that it will be released in Europe, UK, US and Australia in early 2015, under the title Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate.

In an announcement video, producer Ryozo Tsujimoto promised “the biggest leap forward ever for the series.”

“Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will take the player to new heights, literally, with the introduction of more vertical and lateral movement than ever,” he said. “This opens up new possibilities by expanding the range of actions to create more fluid and dynamic hunting experiences.”

plz be a Wii-U version. I find the 3DS controls hideous.

Nintendo throw money at them so they make a Wii-U version too. This game deserves to be on a big screen in 1080p HD with dual analog sticks

I really don’t understand Capcom. They were saying how much they want to see this series succeed in west and yet haven’t taken the simplest step to make sure it does.

MH is super popular in Japan not just because of the game but also because it is on platforms that Japanese gamers prefer the most: HANDHELDS. Both PSP and 3DS are among the chief reasons that MH has sold so well and yet they keep the PS3/360 versions exclusive to Japan.

Why not release MH4 on PS3/360 or even better, on PS4 and XB1? I’m pretty sure that would help it sell a lot more than just handhelds in west.

@AsianGameing lol really? 3DS is still the best selling console on the world. They wouldnt release it on 3DS if they hadnt known that it would be profitable for them :P
