Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be “quite open to modding,” says Warhorse

Saturday, 25th January 2014 17:52 GMT By Stephany Nunneley

Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios has said the game will be moddable. Speaking with RPS, project director Daniel Vávra said the team is also considering releasing a toolset. “We are quite open to modding,” he said. “Since it’s on CryEngine, it should be easy to mod, too. We [also] hope that we will be able to release our tools and assets for CryEngine SDK. No guarantees now, but it would be a shame not to do it.” The game was put on Kickstarter earlier this week, and in no time at all, met its funding goal. The open-world, medieval RPG sandbox will be released episodically on PC and next-gen systems. The game has been in the works since a month after Warhorse announced its formation in July 2011.

Hope this keeps up at this pace. I backed this. Seriously this might just be one of those dream come true games.. Always wondered why there weren’t more realistic Medieval RPGs that didnt include magic and etc lol.

I hear you well and I would say why not. It certainly is attractive to see a medieval game.

Anyhow, there was magic involved in medieval time all across Europe but clearly suppressed and chased by Catholicism and alike… Burn the witch I say… Also from a more realistic stand point, alchemy is not what is seen in game but herbal stuffs had “magical” properties, though nothing was better than a cut bleed under the foot for hours by a monk of some sort to let the devil out of the body if that person did not die in the meantime :)
