The Assassin’s Creed movie has a director, according to “persistent talk” reported by Twitchfilm. Swedish director Daniel Espinosa, best known for Safe House and Easy Money, is said to be the producers’ first choice. The film is in the works at 20th Century Fox in collaboration with Ubisoft, is expected in August 2015, and will star Michael Fassbender, who is also one of the producers.

Annnndddd the movie’s gone to hell. While easy money isn’t that bad, the Safe House is a pure example of “fast-food movie”. This is a director that (at least in the US) makes hollywood trash in the vein of John Moore (Max Payne movie).
