Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney original trilogy headed to 3DS

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is getting a retrial, thanks to a 3DS compilation of the three original games.

The Capcom remakes were announced in this week's issue of Famitsu, according to Gematsu's translation of Japanese reports.

In Japan, the compilation will be called the equivalent of Ace Attorney 123: Wright Selection. Expect this to change if it comes west; the series has enjoyed some interestingly inconsistently titling in the west.

No western release has been confirmed, though, but when it arrives in Japan on April 17, the compilation will include an English option - so if you happen to have a Japanese 3DS, you're laughing.

This will be the third time the three games have been released on a Nintendo console; they launched on Gameboy Advance and were later ported to DS. They've also been released on mobile.
