Call of Cthulhu inbound from Sherlock Holmes developer Frogwares

Call of Cthulhu is a new Lovecraftian adventure from Frogwares and publisher Focus Home Interactive. Take a look at a first batch of suitably atmospheric concept art through the break.

Focus announced the game on Twitter, so very little is known at this stage except that Call of Cthulhu is coming to PC and next-gen consoles.

Developer Frogwares is best known for adventure series Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, the latest of which is Crimes and Punishments, due later this year. However, it also produced last year’s Magrunner, an entirely different affair – with some Lovecraft themes, interestingly enough.

Thanks, Eurogamer.

I enjoyed the Shelock Holmes adventures, if they can successfully make the transition to a CoC lore based game of the same nature, then that should certainly be a sight to behold.

No way! This looks freakin’ amazing. Here’s hope that it’s a functional version of Call of Cthulhu.

    Fucking Frogwares.

Jesus why them? I’m now having flashbacks to that horrible Holmes game with the Lovecraft shit shoved in for no reason.

    Fucking creepy Watson.

I actually liked their games but Call of Cthulhu is gonna be hard. It is a magnificent source that deserves the best.
