Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Onslaught DLC could feature a remake of Modern Warfare 2 map Scrapyard. Some gamers have spotted similarities between new map Ignition and the classic environment.

We reported on the Call of Duty: Ghosts – Onslaught release date this morning. Just hit the link to see the teaser trailer.

Now, MP1st has spotted some similarities between this Onslaught DLC promotional material and classic Modern Warfare 2 map Scrapyard.

Note the similar geography, and the warehouse number in the top left of the image. There’s a good case for Ignition being a remake based on this comparison, but what do you think?

it takes them too much time to remake assets so old assets will be in yes :P

Was this any surprise when files directly from the game pointed out that a Scrapyard remake was already on the way? Nonetheless, Scrapyard was a good map but I’d rather have Highrise back.

Holding off on the DLC due to the non-arrival of the promised dedicated servers and the increasing prevalence of the dreaded quick scopers. Too much lag for me at the moment. And Titanfall is coming which solves both these problems. Enjoying Ghosts but at this stage it’s just filler ’til TF arrives.

If it didn’t look like something they had already done it wouldn’t be call of duty.

@2 I’m with you on that. Scrapyard was my second favourite map in MW2, but it was a distant second to Highrise.
