Starcraft 2 returns to Major League Gaming in Americas-only GamerOn league

Major League Gaming has recommenced its StarCraft 2 programming, announcing an invitational and an appearance at the next championship.

MLG recently took a short break from StarCraft 2 while it put together an Americas-only league with GameOn.

The first event is the GameOn Invitational, which runs January 19 through 26. 16 Americans will participate, including 12 invited guests and four fan-voted players, with $5,000 on the table.

Following a few rounds of online competition, the latest StarCraft 2 series culminates at the MLG Championship in Anaheim, which runs June 20 through 22. Dota 2 and Call of Duty: Ghosts will also appear.

Tune into GameOn or MLG to view the Invitational; more information is available on MLG's website.
