The Stanley Parable, Device 6, Papers Please among IGF finalist favourites

Finalists for the IGF Awards have been announced, with a couple of favoured titles popping up again and again across categories.

In terms of straight nominations, three titles each managed four nominations each - Papers, Please; Device 6 (pictured); and Dominique Pamplemousse in "It's All Over Once the Fat Lady Sings!", a stop motion adventure from Deirdra Kiai Productions which is far too generously named to fit in a headline, unfortunately.

The Stanley Parable wasn't far behind with three nominations.

If you take in honourable mentions as well, it's clear the panel faced some quality games this year and struggled to select between them; games like Samorost3 and Don't Starve pop up repeatedly.

The IGF Awards will be held on March 19 as part of GDC, immediately before the GDC Awards. It attracted a record number of entrants this year, and has changed its format slightly.
