Alien: Isolation – the new tie-in from Total War studio The Creative Assembly – received a product page on Xbox.com briefly before Microsoft pulled it. The entry revealed new details about the game.

UPDATE: five new Alien: Isolation screens have appeared on Xbox.com. We’ve whacked them below. (Cheers Videogamer)

ORIGINAL STORY: It follows these leaked Alien: Isolation screenshots.

The Alien: Isolation Xbox.com page can be seen through the link, note the game’s title in the URL link.

NeoGAF managed to copy-paste the page’s details before it was pulled.

It read:

Discover the true meaning of fear in Alien: Isolation, a survival horror set in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger. Fifteen years after the events of Alien, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda enters a desperate battle for survival, on a mission to unravel the truth behind her mother’s disappearance.

As Amanda, you will navigate through an increasingly volatile world as you find yourself confronted on all sides by a panicked, desperate population and an unpredictable, ruthless Alien. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

Nothing can be worse than the steam dump randy pitchford took on the IP.

^ Many things can be worst, little can be as misleading, dishonest and an outright scam, though.

I guess they used the “Ripley’s daughter” weird trick in order to be able to use Ripley’s likeness on a new character and somehow mimick the setting of the first Alien movie.

If they get the execution of this right it’ll redeem the Alien franchise…

It’s too soon after last year’s tragedy (Colonial Marines). Of course there is a silver lining: GearBox is nowhere near this one.
