Chinese development house Virtuos announced today that it carried out development duties for the upcoming HD re-release release of Final Fantasy 10/10-2 for both PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.

The studio delivered the news saying it was a “a new milestone” for the team,” adding the project was its “biggest to date”.

Videogamer adds that the studio is responsible for porting multiple titles to mobile platforms, including XCOM: Enemy Unkown’s iOS affair, and also providing art assets for The Last of US.

The RPG is out March 18 in North America and March 21 in Europe.

Maybe Final Fantasy XV will be closer due to this but Wait! WAIT! WAIT! A mobile/assistant developer did the port? Now that is interesting considering how good the game is apparently.
