Xbox One: first ID@Xbox titles expected in early 2014

Xbox One's first major wave of indie games is expected before the shine has worn off 2014.

Speaking with Edge, ID@Xbox boss Chris Charla predicted the first games out of the indie program will launch before the end of the first quarter of 2014.

“I think it will be early in the New Year, in the first three months. I would say closer to the third month. In terms of how many games there will be, it’s hard to say, because they’re still in development," he said.

Some of these games had been in the works for months.

“Some developers started developing for Xbox One, others already had games in development and are working on Xbox One versions. I would say they’re at all stages of development, honestly.”

Microsoft recently announced 32 independent studios are working on games for the Xbox One, with hundreds more expressing interest after the scheme was announced.
