Ouya is now accepting BitCoins on its game store, the platform announced on Twitter, so if you’re one of the people who uses and Ouya and also uses Internet currencies, hooray for you. Ouya, if you’ve missed it, is an Android-based micro-console which insists on all games providing a free-to-play or trial option.

Thanks, Joystiq.

Bitcoin is making a huge impact in the world of currencies.

Word has been going around that it may in fact become a dominant currency within a few years.

I’m just worried it may be manipulated by bankers or corporate interest groups.

If anything, it’ll be the criminals (or rather the overt criminals, as opposed to the banker and corporate criminals) who will be the ones to do the manipulating. After all, you can absolutely guarantee that the biggest bitcoin miners are in fact the world’s criminal elements.

An encrypted untracable money source? That just SCREAMS ‘criminal enterprise’.
