The Last Door episodic point-and-click adventure greenlit on Steam

The Last Door, the episodic point-and-click adventure title successfully funded through Kickstarter back in December 2012, has been greenlit on Steam - as noted last night. Even so, the team continues to seek funding for the fourth episode in the series.

Created by Spanish indie developer The Game Kitchen, the game currently available for PC, Linux, Mac and other flash-enabled devices through the developer's website.

Here’s the story synopsis:

“The story follows Jeremiah Devitt, a University professor of Philosophy, who receives a distressing letter from an old childhood friend. Jeremiah returns to the manor of his friend to confirm his suspicions that something terrible has happened. Jeremiah will have to explore the deserted and unnerving mansion, seeking clues to unravel the terrible mystery behind his own past and the fate of those closest to him."

Currently, the game has two free chapters available to the public and the third one available upon any donation towards the development of the fourth chapter - which is in the middle of a crowdfunding campaign.

You can find out all about Chapter 4 in the developer video below.
