Sui Generis pre-alpha footage already looks amazing

Sui Generis is difficult to sell, until you look at the gameplay footage through the break and comeprehend that the developer's claims of physics-based combat are well justified.

A top down action RPG - ie, a Diabloesque - Sui Generis realistically models combat and movement; just watch how the player recoils when parrying an enemy attack with a sword, or watch them trip over a stool about five minutes in for maximum effect.

We've been promised all sorts of other physics effects like equipment damage and gore modelling, and the environments are already looking marvellous; given that most of the polishing and content work happens in alpha and beyond, the final product has the potential to be really stunning. Blue Mettle is aiming for a May 2014 launch on PC thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign.
