Xbox One: new TV spots show Kinect feuds and a serious case of denial

Monday, 11th November 2013 14:59 GMT By Dave Cook

Xbox One has received a pair of new TV spots that aired during NFL’s Sunday Night Football at the weekend. They show a couple fighting for control of the console and a retired footballer in denial. Check them out here.

They follow the first, and rather expensive Xbox One commercial, which included Steven Gerrard, Star Trek actor Zachary Quinto and a line-up of games including Titanfall and Forza 5.

Here are the clips:

Xbox One is out November 22.

Exactly why voice commands are shite. I don’t want my missus doing that. Kinect denied, same with the ps4 camera voice commands, no thanks.

Calm down everyone, so far only one of the big three, Microsoft, has been colleborating with the NSA in the “PRISM”-initiative. Considering that Sony is a Japanese company
I’m sure Edward Snowden would’ve given us proof by now that Sony is involved. He’s already named some of the biggest American companies.

@5 You should be able to, a lot of the notification stuff is supposed to be customizable.

If you have a serious cold you probably will have problems, lol. But you should be sleeping anyway, shame on you for staying up late playing games when you’re sick. Here’s your soup.

Isn’t it so that the Kinect only accepts commands from the host/adminisrator? That’s what I was under the impression of, so don’t get what some of these comments.

If it was a guy walking in on a girl watching her favourite TV series and throwing her out to get beer for him it would be sexist. Thankfully we have a role reversal here so it’s very funny instead.

@6 yes near everything is customizeable.

And you can lock-out kids via parental lock but if you have the option set to allow voice commands from all users then this could happen.
