Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Network will undergo seven hours of maintenance tomorrow, November 7.

The downtime will run between 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific Time / 11 AM to 7:00 PM Eastern.

A post on the PlayStation forums adds, “If you’ve signed onto PSN over the past few days, you’ll still be able to play online and access apps during this period, but you may receive a maintenance notification when attempting to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home, and Account Management as these services will be unavailable. Be sure to sign in now if you wish to access the Network during this maintenance window.”

It comes as the US launch of PS4 is just a week away. Sony has ramped up its marketing with these four new trailers, showcasing the next-gen console. What do you think?

@1: Perhaps some ground work for the PS4 to join in a few weeks?

@2: Steam only has to deal with PCs right? PSN has content accessible to PC, PS3, PSP, PS Vita and PS Mobile (phones and tablets). I think the infrastructure is more complicated.
